Mac’s Speed Shop in Fayetteville is a solid spot for bbq and burgers. We had a pretty good meal overall once things got going, even though service had a rough start. The host wasn’t the friendliest. When I asked how he was doing he just said sweaty and looked at me like i was crazy. We waited about 15 minutes before a server came over. But the manager Joel saved it. He noticed we hadn’t been helped, apologized right away, and rushed to get us drinks. When we got our server, Abby we were treated very well, she was great too, really attentive and gave solid suggestions. The beer was nice and cold. Appetizers were mostly winners. The burnt ends were perfectly seasoned, tender, and juicy. Only downside was finding a hair in them. The fried pickles were spot on, crispy without too much batter or burning. The ribs had great flavor even if they weren’t fall off the bone. The sides were the highlight though. mashed potatoes were perfect, not too soggy or dry. The mac and cheese was honestly the best I’ve had in town. My wife got the route 66 burger cooked just right and the fries were crunchy with good seasoning. We did have a random server come up and ask if we were done with one of the s

We decided to grab dinner on the patio. There weren’t a lot of people but there was still a slight wait for our server. The food was decent and the atmosphere is relaxed.

Hands Down the Best BBQ in the South! As a Southerner, I don't say this lightly: Mac's Speed Shop has the absolute **best BBQ hands down**. We loved it so much we went twice in two days! * **The Food:** You need to use all your fingers just to hold the wings because they literally fall right off the bone the second you lift them! The brisket, nachos, and tacos are all absolutely to die for. Plus, you can get two baskets of hushpuppies for just $1.50! The daily specials are incredibly affordable. * **The Vibe:** The atmosphere is open, airy, and perfect for families, date nights, or just hanging out alone. They are completely dog-friendly and the live music was an absolute blast. * **The Heart:** To top it all off, what restaurant do you know that honors our soldiers with a military discount? God bless this owner and America!🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸 This place is pure perfection. If you are anywhere near Fayetteville, you have to eat here!

Mac's has some of the juiciest wings I've ever had. I like the VTX sauce, but you can't go wrong with any of them. They also have a good selection of draft beers. Get there early if the weather's nice. Even inside will get pretty busy.

We are here visiting Fayetteville for the first time and I asked for some “Carolina BBQ” now I have had BBQ from Texas, Oklahoma, before. This one tonight was super tender with a very lite smoke. If you enjoy a light smoke then this is the place for you. The platter we got was for 4 adults and we had left overs. The vine was nice n quiet but it was a Tuesday evening. I would definitely come back for more ;) plus they had some cool shirt with some funny logos or saying on them ;)
